The Records Unit catalogues incident arrest and crash reports, handles non-emergency call taking, overnight parking permission, data entry and research for departmental studies. It also collects fees for permits and reports.
The unit is staffed Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the third floor lobby of the public safety center. Please call first (412) 343-4143 to discuss reports before visiting.

We report our data monthly to the National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS), in addition to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s use of force database.
