Evaluations help to determine both readiness and class placement for either Tot Prep or Snowplow Sam courses. Evaluation sessions are limited and are scheduled over 30-minute intervals. Evaluation registration may be done online, in-person, or by phone beginning April 6, 2026. Upon completion of the evaluation, Learn to Skate registration can be made in person or by calling the Ice Center. Open registration begins February 16, 2026. Classes will begin April 24, 2026.
Who
Any preschool and kindergarten age child, 3-6 years old, who has never taken a lesson at the Mt. Lebanon Ice Center needs to register for an appointment to be evaluated. Anyone first grade and above, does not need an evaluation.

Important Note
Helmets are required. Other required garments are gloves or mittens, thin smooth socks that come higher than the top of the skates and a light jacket. Arms and legs must be covered.
