1st Grade Basketball

Check back soon for 2024 program details.

Children will be grouped and supervised by parent coaches. Program is designed to provide a preview of next year’s second grade basketball league sponsored by the Mt. Lebanon Recreation Department. Fundamentals such as dribbling, passing and shooting will be stressed. Shorter 8 1/2′ hoops and smaller 25.5″ basketballs are used.

Residents and Non-Resident

First grade boys and girls. Must be in first grade.

 

When

February – March 2024

Teams will meet twice per week for five weeks. Practices are 50 minutes in length and are scheduled between 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. weeknights and anytime on Saturdays.

Important Note

PARENT COACHES ARE NEEDED 

Volunteer coaches must submit clearances to the Mt. Lebanon Recreation Office prior to approval to coach. Click here to view Mt. Lebanon Municipality’s policy regarding volunteer background clearances which are mandatory for anyone having contact with children. For more information, contact the Mt. Special Requests

Requests for specific teams or to be with specific friends are not guarantied. Requests for specific practice and game days and times will not be honored.  Coaches will choose the teams practice day and time at the coaches meeting.
