Lebo Rec’s 1st grade basketball introduces kids to the fundamentals of the game and prepares them for next year’s Fall Rec Basketball league serving 2nd to 8th graders. Fundamentals such as dribbling, passing and shooting will be stressed. Shorter 8 1/2′ hoops and smaller 25.5″ basketballs are used. Games will occur only on an informal basis as determined by team coaches. Children will be grouped and supervised by parent coaches. Practice schedules will be posted below once the program starts.
Registration for 1st Grade Basketball will open in December.

Residents and Non-Residents
First grade boys and girls. Must be in first grade.
When
February 17 – March 22, 2025
Teams will meet twice per week for five weeks. Practices are 40 minutes in length and are scheduled between 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. weeknights and anytime on Saturdays.

Important Note
PARENT COACHES ARE NEEDED
Volunteer coaches must submit clearances to the Mt. Lebanon Recreation Office prior to approval to coach. Click here to view Mt. Lebanon Municipality’s policy regarding volunteer background clearances which are mandatory for anyone having contact with children. For more information, contact the Mt. Special Requests
Requests for specific teams or to be with specific friends are not guaranteed. Requests for specific practice and game days and times will not be honored. Coaches will choose the teams practice day and time at the coaches meeting.
Additional Information
Online – Register for as many programs as you like with a MasterCard or Visa.
In Person – Register in the office during business hours, 8:30 a.m.to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Cash or Check.
