Important Note

Evaluations are required for preschoolers or kindergarten-age children who have never taken lessons at the Mt. Lebanon Ice Center. A variety of days and times are available for evaluations. Registration for evaluations may be done online, in person, or by calling the Ice Center at (412) 561-4363.

Skaters 10 and younger must have an adult present in the building during the child’s activity.

Early Registration for current Winter session participants and Mt. Lebanon Residents begins May 28.

Regular Registration for all new participants and Non-Residents begins June 3. Please call or visit the Mt. Lebanon Ice Center to register.

Snowplow Sam: An introductory basic skills class with no prior skating experience. First time skaters must complete an
Evaluation and be recommended for the program in order to register or for those previously enrolled in
Snowplow Sam. Online registration is not available.

Tot Prep: An entry level basic skills class with no prior skating experience. First time skaters must complete an
Evaluation and be recommended for the program in order to register or those previously enrolled in Tot Prep.
Online registration is not available.

Required garments: gloves or mittens, thin, smooth non-textured socks that fit above the skate, arms
and legs must be covered and a light weight jacket or sweatshirt. Helmets are required.

Preschool Hockey: An Evaluation required. An introductory basic skills class with limited skating
experience who want to learn and improve skating skills and confidence on ice. Program covers a falling and
recovery to a balanced standing position, proper basic hockey stance (forward and backward) along with other
basic hockey skating skills. Some play time at the end of the class is included.
Preschool Hockey Learn to Skate Required Equipment: HECC approved Ice Hockey Helmet with a full facemask,
hockey skates, snow or hockey gloves, ice hockey stick (not street hockey), elbow and knee pads should be
worn under clothing.
