In its 13th year, Public Safety Camp is a group effort by the Mt. Lebanon Fire Department, Police Department, and Medical Rescue Team South EMS. This camp is for Mt. Lebanon children ages 9 to 12. Each day will have different events related to all three public safety departments. Throughout the week campers will have the opportunity to see and touch the different emergency vehicles, watch a K9 demonstration, learn swift water rescue techniques, use a firehose, learn CPR & First Aid, participate in a bike rodeo and foam party, participate in a vehicle rescue demonstration, and wear firefighter turnout gear. On Thursday campers will go on a fieldtrip to Pittsburgh International Airport to see aircraft rescue equipment and a fire demonstration. The week will end on Friday with a graduation ceremony!
