Christmas trees will be picked up at curbside for recycling by Waste Management two Saturdays in January - check back for scheduled dates.
All areas of Mt. Lebanon will be picked up on those dates. Please have your tree at the curb the night before either collection date. The contractor has been instructed to leave any trees that are in plastic bags, so please make sure that your tree is not in a bag and does NOT have any decorations or lights on it, including tinsel. These trees will be recycled into wood chips and any foreign material on the tree could potentially damage the equipment.
Mt. Lebanon is a single-stream recycling community, which means residents can place all recyclables together, curbside, in one container. More than one container may be used for recycling, just make sure a green recycling sticker is on each recycling container and the container weight does not exceed 50 lbs. Stickers are free and are available at the Mt. Lebanon Library, Mt. Lebanon Municipal Building, Mt. Lebanon Public Safety Center and Rollier’s Hardware.
Recyclables are picked up every other week on the regular garbage pickup day. The municipality is divided into two sections: (odd) and (even). Please refer to the schedule to be sure when service is provided on your street.
