This tree prefers these conditions:  Full sun to part shade, and medium moisture.

Special about this tree:  

  • Pink-lavender pea-like flowers emerge in April before leaves.
  • Flowers develop into flat 4-inch pods that remain on stems into fall or winter.
  • Leaves are 4-inch bluish green, heart shape, and turn bland yellow in fall.
  • Stems can be single trunk or multi-stem.
