Changes to FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Map

The Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has provided the municipality with final copies of a Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report and a Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) which may affect your property.

The FIRM for the municipality became effective September 26, 2014. (2014 FIRM comparison map) The FIRM is used for flood insurance determinations, floodplain management and other planning applications

Gateway Engineers, the municipality’s engineering consultant, has provided a list of Frequently Asked Questions related to the National Flood Insurance Program.
