Property tax escrow issue for some residents


If you receive a refund check or ANY notification from your mortgage company advising you that your school district taxes have been removed from your parcel, please hold the check — DO NOT CASH it — and contact your mortgage company immediately.

Mortgage servicer CoreLogic is telling some Mt. Lebanon property owners that their school tax amounts have been detached from their parcel at the direction of Mt. Lebanon. We have not directed that and we do not have the authority to direct any changes to your escrow account. This problem only seems to be happening with customers of US BANK. We have alerted CoreLogic and US BANK and they are working to review and correct the accounts.
