All people wishing to sell anything door-to-door in Mt. Lebanon must have a solicitation permit from the police department. Solicitation permit applications are available at the public safety center, 555 Washington Road, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. They must be filled out and dropped off at the records department, and payment is due at the time of application. Permit cost is $100 for the first five solicitors (whether there is one applicant, or five). Each person after that is $20 per person. Permits are good for the calendar year, up to December 31 each year.
