A water line replacement project will cause single-lane closures on Longuevue and Woodhaven drives and Spalding Circle starting October 10.
Crews from Casper Colosimo and Son, working on behalf of Pennsylvania American Water Co., will begin replacing the line where the two roads meet and continue down each road to Spalding Circle.
Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The pipe installation is expected to take between 30 and 45 days.
Simultaneously, the municipality will install new storm water inlets on Woodhaven as part of its stormwater infrastructure plan. This work is expected to begin in mid-to-late October.
Once the water line replacement is complete, crews will begin service line transfers — connecting each property to the new line. While this typically occurs within two weeks of the completed project, material is backlogged and could take additional time. As crews get closer to that step, residents will be notified with more details.
The project is part of Pennsylvania American’s infrastructure improvement plan to replace old lines and upgrade their infrastructure.
