Pool to open as normal; Passes on sale

Pandemic mitigation will end as we head into summer, with the exception of the continuation of the mask mandate. As a result, the Mt. Lebanon Recreation Department is happy to announce we will be able to operate the swim center with our normal attendance and hours.

What does this mean?

  • You do not need a reservation to enter the pool
  • Starting May 31, admission will not be subject to a pandemic-related cap. As in previous years, pool staff will temporarily halt admission if additional attendance would lead to overcrowding.
  • We will follow current CDC and state guidelines, including masking. Social distancing and frequent handwashing are encouraged. At this point, if you are vaccinated, you do not have to wear a mask outside but unvaccinated individuals must wear one when not in the water, unless 6 feet of distance can be maintained from those outside of your household.
  • We will offer lap swim as usual and one daily open swim session as usual
  • We will update the schedule, rules and hours on our website soon. We just wanted to get the good news out to you!

Pool memberships (season passes) are available online through Thursday, May 20. After that, you must buy the passes in person at the Recreation Center second floor offices through May 29. Hours: Monday and Tuesday (except May 18), 12-2 p.m. and 5-8 p.m.; Saturdays, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. You must bring picture ID, proof of residency (if purchasing a resident pass), and each member of the family who will use the pass to have a picture taken (unless uploaded to your online account in advance).
