Withholding Requirements for Earned Income Tax, Effective January 1, 2012
As of January 1, 2012 all employers within Pennsylvania are required to withhold local earned income tax from their employee's paychecks. This eliminated the need for most taxpayers to manually make quarterly earned income tax payments. Taxpayers who are self-employed or work outside of Pennsylvania will continue making manual quarterly payments. Quarterly Payment Form
