Rt. 19 (Washington Rd.) Paving Project
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Rt. 19 paving project work zone stretches from the intersections of Connor and Gilkeson Roads to Alfred Street in the Mt. Lebanon Business District. Project activities include: saw cutting and removing damaged sections of asphalt and concrete; roto-milling the asphalt from all four lanes; paving all lanes with two lifts of asphalt; installing new ADA curb ramps; addressing drainage issues near the Galleria, and installing new traffic signal poles, lights and controls at three intersections. The project is scheduled for completion in early October.

Special Notes/Additional Work:

Weather permitting thermoplastic crosswalk lines will be painted tonight(10/3) and tomorrow(10/4) night. the goal being to have the lines painted before next Monday. The work will be performed at various locations along Washington road. On Friday and Saturday nights (at various locations) Lindy Paving will making spot repairs to the paving along Washington Road. Bronder Technical Services will continue to install traffic signal mast arms and signal heads at various locations-this work will be performed during daylight-weekdays.

Traffic Signal Improvements Underway in Mt. Lebanon

Pittsburgh, PA - PennDOT District 11 is announcing traffic signal safety improvements in the Mt. Lebanon Township, Allegheny County, are underway.

Crews will be replacing signals and upgrading sidewalks to comply with ADA standards. Single lane restrictions will occur as needed weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through early December at the following intersections:

· Cochran Road and Osage Road
· Beverly Road and Overlook Drive
· Beverly Road and Ralston Place
· Beverly Road and North Meadowcroft Avenue

All turning movements will be accommodated. Bronder Technical Services will perform the work.

Motorists should use caution, allow extra time and expect changing traffic patterns when traveling through the area.

Visit or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions on major roadways before traveling.

Regular Street Reconstruction and Maintenance Program

An extensive evaluation of all public streets within Mt. Lebanon is completed annually.  Street Reconstruction or Maintenance is then scheduled.
