The municipality will be conducting smoke testing in the Twin Hills neighborhood during the weeks of October 18, 25 and November 1, with a possible extension in the event of inclement weather. The information from this testing will aid in the Municipality’s response to the flooding and high flows during severe rain. Testing will occur Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The testing itself it will involve the low pressure force-feeding of a non-toxic smoke through the sewer lines to locate leaking or broken sanitary lines and unknown connections. The results will be reviewed and recommendations made for appropriate remedial courses of action.
Given the location of the sanitary manholes, anticipate traffic delays, traffic rerouting, and/or road closings when testing is being actively conducted.
