Current Development Projects
Mount Lebanon High School (155 Cochran Road / 7 Horsman Drive)
The Mount Lebanon School District received approval to renovate and rebuild the high school on the existing site to accommodate the educational needs of the district’s high school students. The oldest section of the building was constructed in 1928. Over the years, the building has undergone a series of additions and renovations, the last of which took place over 30 years ago.
The proposed new high school will consist of new construction and renovated portions of the existing multi-story building.New construction includes a new academic wing and an athletic field house. Existing portions of the building to be retained include an academic building, a large performing arts theater and a small performing arts theater.The existing competition gym building will also be retained, but will be significantly renovated into a new academic commons and dining space. SpringHill Suites Hotel (Washington Road between 607 and 615 Washington Road)
Kratsa Properties through a special purpose entity, Mt. Lebanon Hospitality Associates, entered into an agreement of sale with the Mt. Lebanon Parking Authority for a parcel of land located between 607 and 615 Washington Road.
This project is the construction of a 108-room SpringHill Suites Hotel by Marriot, which is designed to be an upscale, boutique type hotel seven stories tall with three levels of parking accessed off of Parse Way.
As part of this project the developer will also create and maintain a pedestrian connection between Washington Road and Parse Way. Parse Way will become two-way up to the point of the hotel garage entrance.
The developer broke ground in the spring of 2011.

The floor plan as proposed includes:
First floor
- Breakfast buffet area
- Employee break room

- Great room with two sitting areas
- Hotel laundry facilities

- Indoor pool with patio deck off the rear facing Parse Way

- Row of “storefront” windows on the ground floor to maintain the pedestrian scale and storefront pathway along Washington Road

- Windows in the guest rooms are maximized to take advantage of the views
Kossman (Castle Shannon Boulevard)
This project is the construction of two 50,000-square-foot office buildings on Castle Shannon Boulevard on a 5.27 acre parcel of property with a leasable area of approximately 82,000 square feet. There will be an underground parking garage. It is a two-phase project; Phase 1 involves the grading plan and the first building and Phase 2 will begin when the first building reaches 80 percent occupancy.
Concordia of South Hills (1300 Bower Hill Road)
This project will be the construction of an approximately 2,000-square-foot building addition to relocate the physical therapy unit to the same level as the existing skilled nursing unit. No additional residents are proposed.
