Change of Address Form

To change a tax bill mailing address, contact the County Treasurer's Office, Room 106, County Court House, Pgh., PA 15219. The treasurer can be reached at 412-350-4107. Submit your request with the County at www.alleghenycounty.us.

To combine contiguous (adjacent) properties,
the following requirements must be in place in order for the assessor to combine the properties:

The proper manner to combine property is to go through the legal subdivision process. This is handled only by the municipality. A deed does not combine property and the county doesn’t do it without permission from the municipality

We do allow for the combination of properties (for tax purposes only) without the subdivision process, but ONLY if the municipality doesn’t require it. You must contact them first and have them tell you what their requirement is.

If they will allow the combination without the plan, the County requires a letter from the municipal manager on the municipal letterhead, with parcel id numbers and addresses to be combined and a statement that they approve the combination of the 2 or more properties. This letter must be dated as well and forwarded to the Department of Real Estate. Department of Real Estate, Mapping, 542 Forbes Ave, 101 County Office Bldg, Pittsburgh PA 15219.

There is nothing that the county can do without the borough becoming involved first.
